We believe that everyone deserves support and unconditional positive regard on our journey. Our approach is based on deep attunement with our clients; a solid belief in their innocence, and inner wisdom; and absolute faith in their ability to experience healing in their painful areas.
Sessions will often include an experiential component - which means that we won’t just talk about what is bothering you, we will explore it, and work on transforming stuck emotions and believes by stepping into mind-body experiential work. We will move at a pace that works for you, and your nervous system.
Most of us have imbalance in our nervous system, which affects not just the way our body feels, but also directs our thoughts and our actions. Slowing down, and bringing awareness to our body can start to bring balance to our system, and allow greater agency over our thoughts. We will offer you some straight forward therapeutic exercises to begin the process of befriending your body. Additionally, some simple, powerful, science based tools we are able to offer, can allow for deep shifting of your stuck nervous system state. Think of this as recalibrating the unconscious alarm system of your body!
We will work together to heal the impact of trauma - big trauma’s, or the “little t” trauma’s that are more insidious, yet create great pain.
When appropriate we will explore your family system, and your roots. Who we are in the present is developed from where we have been and what we’ve experienced in the past. It subconsciously informs our behaviors and patterns within relationships. We’ll bring a compassionate awareness to your family system to help figure out how and why you have the patterns of behavior that you do. We’ll celebrate what works for you, and bring awareness and take steps to shift what doesn’t work for you.
We will draw from a number of modalities, and tailor your sessions to fit you, and your goals.
